BLESSED
MARY & JESUS, THE MESSIAH
IN THE LAST TESTAMENT AL-QUR’AN
|
On
the occasion of Christmas, we send salaams upon Jesus,
the Messiah – one of the greatest Prophets and Messengers
of ALLAH, the CREATOR and the Lone SUSTAINER of all that
exists. The Messiah’s status in the Holy Qur’an
is made clear right from the beginning. In chapter 2 verse
253:
“Those
Messengers WE endowed with gifts, some above others;
to some of them Almighty GOD spoke; others HE raised
to degrees of honor; to Jesus, the son of Mary, WE gave
clear signs, and strengthen him with the Holy Spirit……
(Chapter 2 verse 253)

Below,
a collection of verses from the different chapters of
the Qur’an, not only create a graphic picture of
the exalted status of Jesus, the son of Mary, but also
the status of Virgin Mary and her family.
“When
the wife of Imran prayed: “O my Sustainer! Behold,
I dedicate YOU whatever is in my womb. Accept it from
me, O my LORD. Indeed YOU alone are all-hearing, all-knowing!
” (Chapter 3 verse 35)

Mother
of Virgin Mary was expecting a son, while Almighty GOD
willed something else. Her inquisitiveness and GOD’s
response is narrated here showing the greatness of Mary..
“But
when she had given birth to the child, she exclaimed:
“O my Sustainer! I have given birth to a female
child! The CREATOR had been fully aware of what she
would give birth to, and said ‘No male child could
ever have been like this female.’ Said mother
of Mary: ‘And I have named her Mary, and I seek
YOUR protection for her and her offspring against all
evil ones.” (Chapter 3 verse 36)
