*BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF THE LECTURER*
Mrs. Shahina Khatib was born at Akola in a very well-educated family, in the state of Maharashtra, India. Her husband Syed Anwaar Khatib is a manager in a Bombay-based pharmaceutical establishment. They have two sons studying in Higher and Middle School. Her father, Mohammed Ilyas, in spite of being a meritorious Engineer, leaving his career, opted for the educational field and served as Deputy Education Officer. He was fortunate enough to be a student of Mr. Mohammed Ibrahim Sharaar, who derived simple method of learning Qur’anic Arabic in shortest period as well as a unique style of presenting Dars-e-Qur’an in Central India. Under the influence of her father, from her very childhood, Shahina Khatib had been fortunate enough to study various Qur’anic Commentaries and Lectures of the Holy Qur’an.
Her academic career got a boost when she was awarded National Merit Scholarship for Physics and Mathematics through out her studies. She did her graduation in 1982 from Nagpur University with flying colors and Post Graduation with Nuclear Physics, Digital Electronics, Telecommunications and Solid State Physics from Nagpur University in 1984. She was awarded her B.Ed from Nagpur University in 1988 and M.A. in Urdu in 2000 with a remarkable rank. She also studied the Bible during her Basic Bible Course from Hyderabad during her school days.
Though she was offered a high post in Bhabha Atomic Research Centre at Trombay, India and a post in a laboratory of USA along with many other offers, her passion for teaching made her to opt the educational field as her career and has been serving as lecturer of Physics in a reputed college in Nagpur. Her approach to the Lectures on the Holy Qur’an is unique. She remains very close to the Fundamental Universal Message of each and every verse of the Divine Writ without going in details like history and allegoric descriptions. She concentrates on the spirit of every verse of The Last Commandments and its universal application in today’s modern World. She emphasizes on the moral and human values of the Divine Revelation and tries to convey it to the listeners. She has a command on Urdu, Hindi, Marathi, English and Qur’anic Arabic language. She rightfully believes that the Heavenly Wordings of The Divine Writ have unmatched depth, standard, dignity, royalty and many more characteristics. The exact corresponding words are not available in many cases in other languages. So she very often picks up multiple words from different languages to emphasize the spirit behind the Holy Qur’anic Verses. To convey the Heavenly Messages of the Sustainer to the masses, she conducts regularly Qura’nic Arabic classes. Due to her God gifted voice rich in tenor and her unique style of presentation, her lectures penetrate the hearts of the audience. By using the modern technologies like Audio Cassettes, CDs, and Qura’nic Lectures on Internet, she will surely find large number of listeners through out the World, Insha-Allah.
