Desecration
of The Holy Qur’an by the US Military Personals
Being
a Muslim, I am very much concerned with the incident of insulting
Holy Qur’an by the US military, and being a human, I
am deeply hurt. I studied the literature provided to me by
the American Centre at Mumbai. Here in America, I am observing,
the society is much civilized, secular and educated. They
know how to live in a pluralistic society. Great country has
well organized and disciplined military. Then why such incidents
of Abu Ghuraib Jail or Guentenamo Bay take place? Why we humans,
at times, are back to square one, to ages of barbarism?
This is
million Dollar question. It is high time for the American
Government as well as the society and its intellectuals to
find out the cause and its solution. To punish the guilty
or to ask apology is the need of the hour, but not a permanent
solution.
A person
or the society is tested at the time of crisis. In this test,
American Military seems totally failed. In my opinion, human
being has the tendency to keep himself under control under
the pressure of accountability.
Yes, but
many a times he feels, this will go unnoticed by my authorities.
Yes, it happens, but nothing will go unnoticed, unwatched,
unaccounted by The Creator of the humanity Who is ever watchful
on every soul at every time. More so the records are prepared
in which each and every small or big happening is entered,
and the culprit, on that Dooms Day will cry out :
“…..
What a record is this! It leaves out nothing, be it small or
great, but takes everything into account......”

The
life is not going to end here only. It will enter in its final
phase which starts from the death of an individual. Will the
Master of the world allow the people of power to use their
powers at their own? He will definitely take account of it.
Excesses He never likes. Indecency He never allows. Torture
He never approves. The society, if feels itself above the
accountability of its Master, is not given much time to carry
on.
This
is the time to think, why and where the American intellectuals
are missing to inculcate in their society, the sense of accountability,
as shown in the Scriptures like the Torah, the Gospel and
the Qur’an. No body will be spared on account of his
caste, creed, gender, color, nation or religion. The Master
of the Universe will not spare Jews or Christians or Muslims
on the ground of their birth or faith, to commit the crimes
and go unnoticed!
“It
may not accord with your wishful thinking (O Muslims) - nor
with the wishful thinking of the followers of earlier revelation,
(Jews and Christians) - one who does evil, shall be requited
for it, and shall find none to protect him from ALLAH, and
none to bring him succor.” (The Holy Qur’an, Chapter
4 verse 123)
