  • But then, as the sixth century was drawing to a close, a little orphan boy was growing up in a dusty village called Mecca, a settlement of 12000 souls, in a remote corner of Arabia. When he grew to manhood, he would unite his people into the strongest nation in the world, invincible in war. He would educate them, rid them of superstitions and give them laws. The words "Sal Allah o alaihe wa sallam" mean, "May peace and blessings of Allah be upon him" - Muhammad the messenger of Allah.
