When
we cross check these aspects in the perspective of
heavenly Revelation, some very astonishing facts emerge.
As a matter of fact it is impossible to come across
more accurate and authentic information than that
provided by The Creator, The Sustainer of the Universe
and The God of the old and the new. Let us review
the following quotation from the Qur’an which
is originally in Arabic and I am mentioning its English
translation here.

"For,
every one of them did WE take to task for their sin:
and so, upon some of them WE let loose a deadly storm
wind; and some of them were overtaken by a sudden blast;
and some of them WE caused to be swallowed by the earth;
and some of them WE caused to drown. And it was not
GOD who wronged them, but it was they who had wronged
themselves.

The
above verse from the Qur'an describes four modes
of destruction. But here too the root cause is not
mentioned. A deeper study of the Holy Book reveals
the following two major causes of their destruction.
1)
Multifarious modes of worship: Be it in
form of idol worship, hero worship or worship
of the phenomena, graves, superstition,
nobility, lust, etc.

2)
Oppression: Religious, political, economical,
social, racial, i.e., any level on which
one class in the society might have been
exploiting the others.
