The
question arises here, who is telling this? In which
time frame, is it said? It is very much evident
from the verse itself that it is not a statement
by a human being. It must be born in mind that the
Qur’an is not the Book of the Muslims. Rather,
this is the Book of The GOD, the Lone Creator of
the entire universe and what is beyond. HE has revealed
HIS Book for the good of the children of Adam. And
HE is addressing those of HIS creatures who worshipped
HIS other creatures like, the sun, the moon, the
wind, the clouds, the water, the sky, the distant
planets, the idols and living or dead humans without
any evidence, only on the basis of their own wishful
desires. When such people would be gathered on the
Day of Judgment, they would be treated in the above-mentioned
manner not by Muslims, but by their LORD. The Muslims
are not being given orders to send some one to hell.
If someone infers power to him from this verse then
it is sheer obdurate interference in GOD’s
own business. And beware, it is no different from
polytheism the unpardonable sin.
Objection
8:
It is on Chapter 32 Verse 22, the translation follows.
"And
who could be more wicked than he to whom his Sustainer’s
messages are conveyed and who thereupon turns
away from them? Verily WE shall inflict OUR retribution
on those who are lost in sin."
In
this verse, it is stated that the Master of the
entire universe, having warned with HIS signs, will
take retribution from those of HIS creatures who
turned away from HIM. Muslims are not being told
to take any revenge from anybody, anywhere at all.
On the other hand it appears that the Muslims who
utterly failed in propagating the Qur’an among
the non-Muslims and kept themselves engaged in un-Islamic
and immoral activities may be the targets of such
verses.
Objection
9:
It is on Chapter 48 Verse 20, the translation follows.
"O
you who believe, ALLAH has promised you many war-gains
which you shall achieve; and HE has vouchsafed
you these worldly gains well in advance, and has
stayed from you the hands of hostile people, so
it might serve as a sign for believers and guide
you along a straight way."
The
questions arising from this verse are:
A: Who were the people with whom The GOD made this
promise?
B: What were the gains?
C: When and whose
hands were held up?
D: Which event was predicted?
